RECONSTRUCTION OF THE MAZOVIAN PRE-WAR WEDDING

This event relates to the traditional customs, costumes, folk music and the old Polish eco foods. The village of Radzanów is the place of the staging. The wedding tradition has always been an element binding multi-generation families. Residents from the LAG area participate in both in the course of preparation as well as in the spectacle itself. During the event the older generation shares their experience from the youth to the next generations. This is combined with the music performed by a folk band that interacts with the audience along with the reconstructors. All the wedding meals and beverages are made from ecological products using traditional methods. At the final phase of the reconstruction the audience becomes an integral part of it – the wedding guests participating in the dancing. The operation contributes to the preservation of local heritage by teaching songs, presentation of the local customs associated with weddings and preparation of regional dishes.
